TEXT

This dwelling has a total of 100 square meters, distributed in one single floor of a building which originally dates back to the sixties.
Its current layout consists of an entrance hall, a central hallway without natural light, four bedrooms, a kitchen and a living-dining room. It also has two terraces with access from the kitchen and the living-room.
The object of this refurbishment is to update the given space to be used as dwelling. The new arrangement removes the blind spaces in the hallway and connects visually all common areas.
This project respects the building’s concrete structure, only modifying the partitions and partly the installations.
The installation of electric service is updated by putting a suspended ceiling where the light spots and lighting soffits are to be inserted.
The kitchen and both bathrooms are renewed, substituting the tiles, bathroom fittings and electrical appliances.
The new separation between common and private areas takes the form of a shelf (e_o3 series) of white cubes, which virtually build a topography of vertical accumulation that blurs the presence of the bedroom’s entrance.
