TEXT
The Thorus design pavilion was selected by Professor Hani Rashid to represent the GSAPP of Columbia University in the first Rotterdam Architecture Biennale. The space for the pavilion was 10 x 3 x 2.5 m3. The idea is derived the abstraction of A-13 highway ring in the Netherlands. Above him there were exposed eight different projects, all located in different parts of the highway, flanked by backlit panels. Although designed in New York, the piece was fabricated with CNC machines in Navarra (Spain) and assemblage in Rotterdam.
