CoHabitar. 155 Homes in Valladolid

The CoHabitar proposal for collaborative social housing for young people in Valladolid develops the recommended Volume Study through three buildings (E1, E2, and E4), delivering the required 155 dwellings with a maximum height of ground floor plus two levels, in compliance with the local planning regulations. The project integrates community gardens, green roofs, and generous shared spaces that encourage social interaction, with green bands and pedestrian passages between buildings. The 60 m² dwellings feature cross ventilation, dual orientation, adaptable layouts, and terraces or private gardens. Sustainability is addressed through modular construction, thermal inertia, high-performance insulation, solar protection, local materials, integrated vegetation, urban gardens, photovoltaic energy, and geothermal systems, resulting in a socially driven, energy-efficient residential complex.
