JENGA. 39 affordable housing units

The residential project in Tudela proposes a square-plan tower composed of four distinct volumes that rotate around a central courtyard, creating a dynamic organization inspired by the Jenga game. The building’s placement responds to the proximity of the railway tracks by locating it as far as possible from them and aligning it with Paseo de los Tilos to ensure good orientation and accessibility. This formal strategy enables cross ventilation for the 29 housing units and circulation areas, while corner terraces reinforce the spiral movement of the composition. The project emphasizes residential flexibility through a band-based layout, movable partitions and furniture, and a material strategy combining steel and ceramic that mediates between the railway infrastructure and the urban fabric.
